Ctrl+Alt+V has changed

After the big update, Ctrl+Alt+V no longer gives me the option of pasting as a single unformatted paragraph from a PDF to a text snippet. The only options I am given is pasting as formatted text (rtf) or unformatted text. I do hope this is a bug and not the new normal as it will make "borrowing" stuff for my realm more time consuming.

Is anyone else experiencing the same or is this something peculiar to me?

I have submitted a bug report.

I'm experiencing that too. It is a major inconvenience, but I think it is a bug, since the window that appears still says about the special paste and that specific option.

It's possible that it's broken now.

BUT, there's a new option on snippets, which is to reformat into a single paragraph...

But I agree, we should ABSOLUTELY get the Ctrl+Alt+V working again. 75% of what I do in RW starts with that.

It's a bug. We'll be fixing it.

Good because I can't paste anything. I have tried all options to paste and nothing works. I can't do any work on my realm until this is fixed. :( I too submitted a bug report.

In the meantime, check out: PureText: http://www.stevemiller.net/puretext/

I was using PureText instead of RW's built-in plain-text-paste function since I was used to using it. You can use PureText in any application and it takes very little resources to keep running in the background. It is a great little app. For me I almost see it as part of my operating system. I'm always frustrating when I have to use someone else's computer and can't quickly paste as plain text in any text box.

Of course, I still have to use CTRL+ALT+R to reformat as a single paragraph. PureText will not remove the line breaks. Did CTRL+ALT+V in RW paste with no line breaks?

Paste Special previously had an option to paste as a single paragraph. (Bringing us back to the first post in the thread. :)

Right now I can't use any form of pasting. I'm currently running a module so I'm screwed until they get this and the other bugs taken care of. :(

Yes, no line breaks, no formatting.

Only thing bad about it was the occasional issue in character spacing, or weird letters being subbed for another letter combination ALL the time in various PDFs (pdf's fault, nto RW).

probably "badly" ocr'd source pdfs ? Scanned?
Nope. I get lots of formatting issues from different PDFs including the ones water marked from Paizo. Mostly it has to do with line breaks that get copied out of the PDF that makes it look nice in the PDF.

In example the above copied out of many PDFs would look like this:

The Ctrl-Alt-V removed those "random" line breaks and made the sentence one long string and allowed RW to do the formatting. Currently just back to using TextPad to strip the formatting again before pasting into RW. Not a huge deal... :)

The issue referred to above has been fixed in the bug fix version just released.
