Database Integrity - Too many starting points

New member
I am getting this issue, and haven't been able to get any response from support so far (sent support messages on Sunday and Wednesday). The error message I am getting pops up when I try to start RW, and says "Database Integrity Issue. Too many realm starting points defined. Please contact support for further assistance." The only option is an OK button, which immediately dumps me out of the app (the app never fully starts). I have tried renaming/moving the My Documents\Realm Works directory, but that doesn't make any difference. Basically, I am stuck with an app that I can't load.

Any help would be appreciated, if anyone has run into this before.

Thanks!

My Documents\Realm Works is where Realm Works stores backups of your database from the last 10 times you started the app, plus the occasional backup before an upgrade.

The active copy of your database is elsewhere in your user folder. If you don't have any unsynced data, you can try renaming/moving the Realm Works folder there and downloading your information from the server. This command will bring you to the right place:
Code:
explorer "%appdata%\LWD Technology, Inc"

If you do have unsynced data, you should probably wait.

However, if you didn't do much the last time you started Realm Works, you could try moving/renaming the existing data, starting Realm Works and syncing to the last thing you have on the server, and restoring the last automatic backup.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice - but I have done some data changes in the recent past that hasn't been syncd. Guess I should wait.

The kicker is that one day I was in RW, and the next I got this error. Wasn't something I added or did - just a change from one day to the next. I know I can only Howl at the Moon at this point, but really - hate to deal with this when the product has been out this long.

It seems to me that this is the same error I had last summer and there was nothing I could do about it. They fixed it for me themselves as there was nothing that could be done at my end.

It seems to me that I had to send in a bug report. On the bright side, it should be fixable.

Apparently, you have missed BOTH responses sent to your support requests. Could you perhaps check your spam folder for the responses from support@wolflair.com, please? Especially, since you are on gmail, for whatever reason, Google seems to flag our e-mails as spam and you would need to check the Spam folder under 'More' in the mailbox folder list from the web page at mail.google.com. If the e-mails were caught as spam, please mark them as not spam and also add support@wolflair.com (along with no-reply@realmworks.net for any automated e-mails the Realm Works server sends) to the list of e-mail addresses that are supported.

For what it is worth, our support system sends an automated reply as soon as it receives an inbound e-mail. So you should see that very quickly. If you never receive it, it most likely means the e-mail got swallowed by a spam filter somewhere.

Also, with the Realm Works server, it sends out e-mails immediately so any account activation or password reset or other such e-mail should be received very quickly and if it doesn't, the best bet is to check spam filters.
