iPad Error

I keep getting these errors when trying to open my character in the iPad app. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling all the community data files on the iPad, but nothing happened.

I have a game tonight and wanted to use the iPad, so any help would be appreciated.

Their is a difference on the iPad vs the desktop and a few of the community packages can NOT be installed together at the same time.

So in example because my adjustments file is part of the Community Bestiary you can install the CB and my adjustments file on the iPad. Maybe someday but not now.

Your options is to remove one of the packages. Or two create your own .hl file from your desktop. So if you load all the packages on your pc and them make a new .hl file based on your loaded files it will work. Just make sure you also select all the .1st files when selecting all the .user files.

I was working on the ipad until the 8.8 version. Now I get the error

File: Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting - Prestige Classes.user (line 1431) - Thing - Duplicate record encountered ('cDivineCha').

I tried selecting all of my .user and 1st files again, but it fails at this point each time I try to load any portfolio. Is there a way to get by this without removing all the forgotten realm files?

I tried rebuilding the user and 1st files removing the forgotten realms files, but then I got about 20 errors and no loading of my portfolio.

I can tell you that's because there was a class released in 8.8 called The Divine Channler so I'm guessing the Forgotten Realms package will need to be updated.

I don't mean to sound impatient, but is there anyway this could be fixed by Friday. My gaming group meets then. Three of us have ipads, but I guess we could all pull out our laptops. Just need more room.

Been trying to make sure that Community stuff uses a special Two Digit value so that we don't clash with official packages. Cause exactly what happened is what using two-digits prevents.

I currently don't have the Rite Publishing package so didn't know this happened. I will need to get the 3PP package to make sure its 100% fixed. As for fixed by "Friday" all I can say is "maybe".

To fix yourself go into the editor "Tools->Launch Editor...". Open the file "Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting - Prestige Classes.user". Then go the "Class->Class Level" tab. Find the class with the unique ID of "cDivineCha" probably called something like Divine Cha.... Then in the Unique ID text box change the value to be "cFRDiviCha". Then save and click 'Test Now'. If no errors then recreate your .hl file and send it over to the iPad.

That should fix it.

Ok, so far what I can tell is that if I use multiple 3pp files I can't use the iPad app. I say this cause it appears that there is a conflict with SGG and the Community Bestiary, another between the two Dreamscarred Press material, and between Shadows adjustments and the Bestiary. I use almost all of the 3pp material (except the setting specific stuff) when building my characters and would like to have them accessable from the iPad as well. It just means that I will have to print out the sheet instead.

So I guess when I am not tired I get better ideas! So I have just released the iPad Community Super Pack!

This package combines together: Community Bestiary, Community Player Pack, Psionics Unleashed, Super Genius Games, Path of War, and ShadowChemosh's Adjustments. Into one giant Super Pack!

This way they will all play nice on the iPad together. I have also disabled the iPad's from seeing these individual packages anymore. So if you want any of them delete the installed packaged and download the Super Pack instead.

Hopefully this fixes this issue as I would hate to see anyone use a Paper Character Sheet!!!

Thanks, this will be a great help. I don't mind using paper, but seeing as I am playing an Arcanist, I have to update my character a lot with new spells, items, etc. So I end up going through a lot of paper. Again, thanks a ton.

As far as I can tell this isn't related to data files, but now it appears that whenever the portfolio tries to save, the app crashes. If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
