Are you a data file author using "Configurable" things?

Hello data file authors,

In the next version of the Pathfinder data files, we're planning to make a change to "Configurable" things (i.e. things defined on the "Configurable" tab in the editor). When added to the portfolio, these picks get their own tab, on which you can add additional picks to tables.

Currently, any pick added to one of those new tables can be re-ordered by right-clicking on it. However, in the next version of the data files, this will no longer be the case. Picks on a configurable tab will be in a fixed order that cannot be changed.

For most people, this won't make any difference at all, but if you're using configurables in this specific way, we need to know ASAP so we can see if there's an alternate way we can support what you're doing.

Is anyone using "Configurables" and relying on picks on the configurable tab being able to be re-ordered?

Ahg, yea there are a lot in the Modern Path files, but I have turn them over to Shadow to host and Humadalliance is doing the updates.

I had no idea you could reorder the Picks after selection. I am not even sure I would see how that would be "useful". As I was not aware of this feature I never made use of it in my Configurable.

I can so I have a bunch of them I am using and using in unique ways. Especially for the Path of War stuff but nothing to do with "re-ordering" the picks.

We are sure this "change" won't modify the Configurable in any other way?

To see re-ordering in use, create a high-level fighter, add several weapon training abilities, and then use the options available when you right-click a weapon training to move them around in the list. You'll see that the bonus is always the same for a specific position in the list. That way, users who are creating a high-level fighter and change their mind about what order they added the weapon trainings in don't have to delete and re-add things in order to change the order.

The classes tab is also user-orderable.

Learn something new every day! :D

Though I am still not seeing how its something I would have ever made use of.

So for myself feel free to implement this Colen as long as it does not change any other behavior of the Thing. ;)

I've only had to use this feature on things Mathias tells me to use it on. Re-ordering the tables should not be an issue for me.
