1001 Spells and HL iPad

Spectre

New member
Everyone needs a first post, and this is mine.

I recently purchased the 1001 Spells PDF with HL data files from RPG now, but cannot get them onto the iPad. I've unzipped the .zip file and have the .hl files for spell levels 0-9. I can add these to the iPad through iTunes, and then in HL Play can view (and see) the updates. The problem comes when I install each file, after the first I get the message "Another version of this update is currently installed. Do you want to replace all existing files, even though one or more of them may be newer?"

I've successfully imported these files into the OS X version of HL, but (obviously) not on the iPad..

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

If it has multiple .hl files my guess would be they used the same Package ID for all of the .hl files. Instead of giving a Unique ID to each .hl file.

What you may wish to do is extract them to your desktop and make your own single .hl file with all the same .user files. This way you are for sure to have the same files on the iPad as you do the desktop.

Awesome, thank you that worked a treat.

My only issue now is, while I can see the files are installed (this is on both the Mac and iPad), I can't see any new spells....

Did you select the separate spell files for your hero? If you did so, the spells appear in the various spell lists.

Sorry to hijack, but does the 1001 spells have the same content as all of the 101-spells? It seems to me that it would have the same, minus 9.

Yes, 1001 just looks more ascetically pleasing that 1010 ... although it just looks like 9 and 10 to me

I did this, but couldn't get the new spells to show up.. In the end, due to a couple if 'glitches' I recreated the character from 1st level and levelled up 'normally'. Spells all present and accounted for :)

Thanks for everyones help
