Temporary Server Problems

Please Note! We have begun encountering a sporadic server issue that will result in some users being unable to retrieve updates and/or activate licenses. We're actively working to rectify the problem and hope to have it resolved in a matter of hours. We'll let everyone know when we have the problem resolved.

Our apologies for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone's patience as we get this sorted out! :)

Everything should now be up and running properly again. Please yell if there are still problems you're encountering.

I'm having problems....

Can't check for updates as the - i quote - "Revocation information" for your servers security certificate can't be found...

I can view you certificate, install it locally, do everything but see the information that the program is checking for. This prevents a connection to the update servers.....help!

(please!)

Hi Fantasticmrfox,

We've had a handful of users run into that error, but we have no idea why. It works great for 99.99% of our users, and our certificate is valid and up to date. However, some people get the error regardless. :( I don't know if it's a windows thing, or an ISP thing, or some other issue.

Here's the method I've found for suppressing the error:

- Close Army Builder and open Internet Explorer.
- From the Tools menu, select Internet Options to display the Internet
Options dialog.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to the Security section.
- Uncheck the Check for server certificate revocation box.
- Click on the OK button.
- Close all Internet Explorer browsers before retrying.

This should let you access the updates for Army Builder appropriately.

Colen - Thank you! (But....)

I am not using IE.....I have windows 8 (which Army builder has been fine with up until now) and am using chrome.

Please don't ask me to install IE......
(The damn thing doesn't work properly)

Unfortunately the settings in IE apply to all the standard windows internet functions. :( You shouldn't need to install anything - just fire up IE in windows 8 and change the settings, then quit, and you should be fine.
