Variable STR Composite Longbow

Hi!

Is it possible to create a variable-strength composite longbow in Hero Lab? Or do I need to re-create it as my strength changes?

Thanks!

You can pick the strength bonus when you first add the item, but you can't change it after that if it is a normal weapon. If it is a Magic/Custom one, you can change the strength bonus the same way you'd change the weapon.

There is also an item power that is called Adaptive, that was introduced in the UE book.

Thanks Aaron,

The bow in question is Adaptive (so it adjusts to the strength of the user).

My question is, is it possible to enter it into HeroLab in such a way that it adjusts its bonus automatically to whatever my STR modifier is at the time? Or do I need to manually 're-create' the item? I didn't see 'Adaptive' as an option in the item creation.

Do you have the Ultimate Equipment package, and have you enabled that source for your character?

If so, when adding a Custom/Magic weapon, Adaptive should be listed among the other Item Powers, like Flaming and Frost.

If not, you can purchase additional packages through "License -> Purchase Data Packages", or if you already have bought UE you can enable it for a particular character through "Character -> Configure Hero"

Very cool. I should really read the rulebooks more often since I didn't know this existed ;)
