How do I hide the situational modifiers on the printout??

How do I tell HL not to show the situational modifiers such as trapfinding and favored terrain in the skill list on the printout and PDF?

Thanks!

"situational modifiers"...good god, dork, why must you use such large words??

How about "when I print my character, it shows modifiers such as 'favored enemy' on every single skill that it modifies. That takes up SO much space and is redundant. Is there any way to turn this feature off?"

Oh, and get a haircut, hippy. The mullet makes you look so "80's."

This is on the to-do list.

Any way the option could be related to type and source?

I for example like to have situational bonuses in printouts due to to race and such in skills, but would like equipment situational not print out in abilities (like crowbar in strength).

P.S. using the word situational in this situation was appropriate.

LOL! I got a reply.

You can have my grey old mullet when you pry it from my cold dead fingers! :)

Cool.

I don't mind this function for NPCs and monsters when I'm GMing, but it consumes far, far too much space on the 4/4 Ranger/Rogue that I'm playing in Serpent skull.

I look forward to this being an optional feature that can be turned on or off.

Thanks! Will this fix be on the next update?

I agree. This would also be cool.

P.S. W and I are in the same game in real life, and he's just jealous of my mullet because he's still in the US Army.;)

Regarding the situational modifiers - is there a way you'd want to see them on the printout that would actually be helpful to you, instead of distracting like it is now?

We had a lot of requests to add them, so I'd like to make them as useful on the printout as they are within Hero Lab itself.

What I'm thinking BT is wanting is a way to toggle it on and off.

I can see how it would be useful the way it is for someone that's either new to the game or only has a couple of modifiers. But, when you've got a LOT of them, they confuse the issue.

I'm guessing something along the lines of "display modifiers with skills or separately (ie: only displayed once)."

Mainly I would just like the option not to have them show up on the printout/PDF.

I don't mind them on NPC's too much, but they actually displace part of my skill list to the second page on my Ranger/Rogue PC without a character portrait.

I actually love the way they print next to skills, but I was surprised to see them print on abilities due to equipment. That was why I wondered about more detail than all or nothing. If I had to choose between all or nothing I would have to pick all. The format was fine to me.

What I was thinking was more like:
Print situational on abilities? Y/N
Print situational on skills? Y/N

or maybe:
Print Situational? Y/N
Print Situational due to equipment? Y/N

Another thing I noticed, was that a situational bonuses that apply to all saves print multiple times. I would like to see situational on all saves print only once somehow.

We'll likely have the option to fix this in this month's Pathfinder update, which is scheduled for the day that Paizo releases their books this month (November 21st).
