As I try to get into using tags more, I find the interface for adding them frustrating. I miss the Evernote tag interface, in which each of the tags in the scroll down list of possible tags has a check box.
Also, in addition to the list of categorized tags, a "Recently added" category which contains your last X (say 5) tags. |

This sounds like a good idea.
So instead of having the tag values in the left column where you are also selecting which tag category to take them from and having to double click on each item, the UI could simply present the tag categories on the left, and on selecting a category you get a list of values on the right with check boxes :-) |

+1 for both of these suggestions.
Sleet was enjoying a tasty beverage at his local tavern, when a Tarrasque showed up in the local area. He managed to valiantly get on it's back and ride it. How he did it is a mystery to this day... I like these ideas. Adding tags can be slow work sometimes. +1

Sounds like a great idea. It would be much more streamlined, I think. |

Started to use tags much more, therefore I can only second that. Supporting Calendar Campaigner Tools: Realm Works, Campaign Cartographer 3+ and Add-ons, MapTools Games: home brew world, Lord of the Rings (CODA), Shadowrun, Earthdawn |

I too am a fan of Evernote's tag interface. If tagging worked the same way in RW, that would be great.

I use tags scarcely for the aforementioned reasons, so +1 from me, as it might push me to using tags more consitently.

+1 Checkboxes are good.
Make removal and adding please as simple as possible without confirmation dialogs. also when going through the list allow full text search / typing and remove "invalid" entries from the list. E.g. I have the tags in any category: book of spells core book expansion I + all default tags and i type "book" all default tags and expansion I would no longer be shown in the list, and I only see the two remaining "hits" in the table.
