I have noticed that even when I select no excesses or make certain
that they all read zero, I still have a rather large number of them
listed on my inventory screen. Where do these excesses come from,
and is there any way to make them go back to zero without removing
all of my cards from the inventory?

And ensure you have the Fixed Target setting the way you want.
