Just installed the new 6.10 update (as well as purchasing the Bestiary 3) and one of my previous builds, a Dread Ghoul Dire Bat with an extra 2 HD, now has flags on it. Specifically, it says that the "Additional HD" is not permitted. Why? Did something get messed up?
Thanks. |

The additional HD button seems to be broken.

Having the same problems--can't add hit dice, or size increases. Bug?

Yep, same problems with the Additional HD. The validation message I get is
Additional HD: This selection is not permitted (all effects are ignored) |

I am trying to add additional hit dice to a clockwork servant (PF Bestiary 3).
I created a new portfolio and set the race to Clockwork Soldier. On the class tab, I clicked on "click here to add class levels or hit dice", selected additional hit dice and added 9 hit dice. The option wasn't grayed out as an invalid option, and the additional levels did show up (although the HP column was set to 9999 and the Lvl column showed 0). However, the Additional HD "levels" were in red. The validation report just said "Additional HD: this selection is not permitted (all effects are ignored)". Checking the Customize button on the Background tab didn't change anything. How am I supposed to add additional hit dice? Troy |

Since updating to Bestiary 3 the additional HD feature appears to be broken. Attached screenshot shows the problem.

This is unlike other Validation Errors that just give the warning but allow one to implement the effect anyway. |

Also seems to be a valid workaround for the "Size Increase" bug that a few have noticed in the latest update. |

When you want to add additional HD or size increases to a monster, make sure you have set the character as an NPC, and not as a PC on the configure hero form (you can get back to the configure hero form for an existing character by going to the Character menu and choosing "Configure Hero".
The assumption is that PCs from monstrous races will advance by class levels, not by additional HD. |
