Another Realm Works Beta release can now be downloaded (build 0.9.101.142). This version is available to all Beta team members AND all Kickstarter backers. This new Beta includes a few bug fixes and enhancements. Please note that syncing is now open to Pack Hunter and above.

NOTE: This release comes hot on the heels of Beta 141. All the details for that release will be found in this thread.

Important general items about this release:
  • Syncing is now open to a wider range. Everyone who pledged at Pack Hunter and above on the Kickstarter should now be able perform syncing to the server.
  • Working offline does not require entering a password. Any password you've entered will be ignored when you click the "Work Offline" button.
  • If you encounter any crashes, please send the crash reports so we can figure out the problem and fix it quickly. Be sure to include a description of what you were doing prior to the crash, as that will help us figure out the problem significantly faster.

Here's a list of the important enhancements and bug fixes in this release:
  • We fixed a memory leak that was causing some people to see Realm Works appear to lock up after visiting a lot of topics. In our testing, we have visited over 800 different topics in a single run without having memory errors.
  • Several people were encountering an error when going in to Manage Categories. This should now be fixed.
  • Creating a new realm with tutorial data was crashing in many cases. This is now fixed. For real this time.
  • Realm Works now will warn when you paste data into a snippet that will be stripped out.

The details for accessing this new release are the same as previous ones. All the rules for access and accounts are unchanged. Please report any issues to us and we'll work to get things fixed as quickly as possible.

Important note for Pack Members:
If you recently took advantage of the upgrade opportunity made available in Project Update #64, you'll be upgraded and receive access to the cloud shortly after the upgrade period ends on December 31, 2013.

Yes, you should be able to sync. If not, please submit a bug report with your contact info so we can follow up with you and figure out what's going sideways. Also include an indication of what you're seeing regarding the syncing. For example, is syncing not enabled for you? Is it reporting an error message? What? The more information you can provide, the more likely we can figure it out and the faster that should occur.

Note: This thread should have been locked, so I'm locking it now. You should be able to sort this issue out through the support ticket. If you need to post about this issue further here on the forums, please do so in a new thread. Thanks!
