I bought and imported the Book of Lairs (Kobold Press) from the Content Market. In the "Using this Material" section for each adventures GM Synopsis it states:
Quote:
I use storyboards a lot in my homebrew materials so it isn't as if I'm completely familiar with them. Either I'm missing something obvious or the storyboards were not included in the *.rwsecure file for the Book of Lairs. Book of lairs is a group of relatively small one-shots. I would not have thought Story Boards would be necessary for something of their size.

Like @daplunk above, my understanding of those mini-adventures was that they were each very short, and without a lot of "paths to choose". Consequently, storyboards didn't really seem appropriate.
If that was an incorrect assessment on our part, we can potentially revisit those and add the necessary storyboards. Do other users feel that storyboards are needed for Book of Lairs? |

If not, it seems like removing the mention of storyboards in the "Using this Material" would be appropriate - seems like that's what lead to MNBlockhead's misunderstanding.

I spoke with the person who put together the Book of Lairs content. Is seems that storyboards WERE created, but they were inadvertently omitted from the export. A new update will hopefully be available with this correction later today.
For the record, you CAN safely import the new version over the old one. Any modifications you may have already made to the imported material will be PRESERVED. |

How exactly does this work? If I edit a snippet - will the whole topic be flagged / left out and reported, or will everything except the snippet be updated? Basically, what exactly is preserved and how will those "failed imports" be handled?
Does this also work if I do exports and imports between my own realms, e.g. if I run multiple games / groups? Join the (unofficial) Realm-Works IRC Chat: #realm-works on the Rizon Network (https://wiki.rizon.net/index.php?title=Servers) -> Browser Client: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.rizon.net |

Thanks a! I ran my sons through one of the pairs this evening and it was great to have everything in realmworks, linked, and with herolab profiles. For most lairs I think they are most easily run using the smart maps as navigation, but there was a reference to storyboards so I wanted to make sure nothing was missing. As BJ notes, there was. Still perfectly usable without the storyboards.
