I'm not sure if this is specific to Pathfinder, as it is the only game system I have used.
I have been using HL for about four months now, and am unsure how anyone could cope without it. However, I have been moving existing characters over, and one area which I have found a little cumbersome is the filtering of things like spells, on spellbook selection or on magic and equipment. I have just created my longest surviving active character a 16th level wizard, (who was originally 2nd Edition D&D). Level by level I added him, with loving care but adding his spellbooks was challenging. Currently you can search on a text item, but it would be so much easier if the ability to filter on 'level' or 'source' or perhaps even 'school' was added. For example, if I am selecting a 3rd level spell, I can search on '3', but this shows every spell that has a 3 in any part of it, not just level 3 spells. Even using the 'only valid items' filter shows spells which are currently beyond my level. |

Searching for level of a spell can be done by filling out: level 3
Searching for a school: school transmutation I admit the search system could be better but they are currently thinking/working on a UI overhaul so we will have to wait and see what they are currently working on when it is done. Seeing things like this have been brought up before and might be addressed in the overhaul but until it is released we will have no idea what things it will alter. Would be nice to have visibility on the overhaul so input can be provided.

Developing a new user interface without early and comprehensive feedback from both new and long-time users is a bad idea, imho. |
