I noticed that creatures that were put in by Lone Wolf have a source as part of the entry. Does anybody know if that can be done by individual users or is that something Lone Wolf does when they release their packages? An example is if you open the Encounter builder and search on Pixies on, you will get all the monsters that are part of Pixies on Parade. Was just wondering if there was a way to do that for say the community pack.

Have a look at the community pack.

The *.1st files control the sources.

but I don't see those source tags listed in the encounter builder with the community pack either. I'll have to see if I can get a screen shot of what I'm talking about.

Try this link and notice that the Frog indicates the source of 5e SRD but the 2 monsters around the Frog don't indicate their source. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way for us users to put that source in.

or this one same pic just a different location.

ok think I found it, when looking at hero fields there is one call acBookName I believe that is where that tag is coming from. Though I'm not sure there is a way to set that field without using an eval script for us.

It appears that the field acBookName can't be changed via script, get an error that only derived fields can generally be modified via scripts (field 'acBookName')

ok I figured it out, is easiest if you have a stock portfolio built and you can change it for each creature in the portfolio, but same process for individual portfolios.

Develop > Set Portfolio Sourcebooks add source book name you want to see for creature in encounter builder, you can also set the source book id/sku.

This allows for searching the encounter builder by source, if you were wondering why I wanted to know how to do this.
