Okay just a quick question.. I have the 40KRed files until 2.0 come out and
noticed that when I take a Ravager or Talos they have some new options..
such as count as elite. Fast. etc etc. Was this a mistake or did I miss
something new in a journal somewhere? Thanks,

Matt

I'm not a GW player (well, except for warmaster), but isn't everything in
CJ unofficial? If the Harlequins data file was distributed, it would have
to be separate from the core files, right?

Not necessarily.. you can put them in the files, but then it becomes a
question of your gaming circle. If you don't play with these rules, then the
files don't have much meaning and you have no reason to include them in your
army. Most people like to play friendly games and use a few "unofficial"
rules just for run. Such as Imperial Super Heavy tanks. They are not
official rules, but people let their buds play. Although you won't see any
of these armies in a tourney.

the Harlequin playtest Codex is in most of them now anyway. Technicaly it's
unoffcial, but I'll bet it's approved for use at GT's and the like.

Basically, they thought they'd let players knock this list about a bit,
come up with suggestions and commentary, then publish an official one based
on feedback.

No matter what in-studio playtesting is done, theres no doubt that the most
grueling, arduous, nit-picky playtesting you can get is simply by letting
the general gaming public tear into a list.

If these come up even when you're not using the Campaign mode, you need
to upgrade your version of Army Builder to 1.4d (see
http://www.wolflair.com/).

Since I don't buy the Citadel Journal, they won't be unless someone
either puts the rules up on the net (how I got the Adeptus Arbites or
scans them in and sends them to me.

No, not really

A kind chap who shall not be named (no, not Voldemort) sent me it. It
was littered with bits that said "Do not show this to anyone or we'll
chop your legs off" and similar.

That's right. Unfortunately, GW don't do this.

Somehow I missed this one until now:

None of the Eldar lists allow you to take Phoenix Lords--Is this not
possible, or was it just forgotten?

Well, the arbites list is official, and the Harlequin list is being
written by Gav Thorpe, so it might be official. If I get my hands on
the CJ, I'll scan 'em and send 'em to you, Colen.

They're in. You just have to go to settings and click on show special

Ta. If you do, could you reduce the pages down to a readable, but
smaller, size? My parents get annoyed when I tie up the phone
downloading 15MB documents

people will want to get V2 ASAP rather than stick with V1.4

It means there is an item you have selected that causes conflict groups
to remove other items from the selection list.

So for example in the Necromunda files, the Free Knife causes a Red !
because it conflicts with itself and thus removes itself from the
selection list.
If you delete the Free Knife from a gangers items, the red ! disappears
and the Free Knife appears back in the selection list

Did I explain that well enough?

Russell.

got up to write:

>Okay just a quick question.. I have the 40KRed files until 2.0 come out and
>noticed that when I take a Ravager or Talos they have some new options..
>such as count as elite. Fast. etc etc. Was this a mistake or did I miss
>something new in a journal somewhere? Thanks,

http://www.wolflair.com/).
