Question: I have a druid character that chose to take for her Nature Bond ability (at first level) a bond to the animal domain of spells and thus not take the animal companion.

She has just made it to 4th level and Hero Labs now wants to give her a level one animal companion. From what I understand this is incorrect and she never gets a companion.

Am I right that this is a bug in Hero Labs or does she in fact get an animal companion at 4th level?

Doh - she gets it from the animal domain itself!

I missed that, and that explains it - thanks much!

On a related comment the feat Boon Companion is a good thing to look into for this type of character. It will bring your animal companion up to your level rather then your level-3 on the druid chart.

Which book is that one from? I don't seem to see that anywhere in my stuff.

NVM - I found it. Seeker of Secrets.
