Open Bugtracker
It's great that rob is recovering (keep it slow, don't exert yourself, we need you around long term!) and communication has picked up to a level again where we can feel the progress!
Now we know that LWD has a backlog of bugs and feature request. But due to the often lamented pause in communication, I for one am not really sure which bugs and feature request are logged and which ones might have slipped through the cracks. I'm tempted to just bump up alle the threads with the requests I want the most. But that would create a lot of clutter in the forum and might be frowned upon by the mods. So that's why I thought an open bugtracker would be nice, so that we know which feature requests are already in the queue and which ones we should raise awareness for. I'm not asking for a full-blown solution like jira, a simple list in a googledoc that's locked for us would be good enough for me. Thoughts? |
I've got a list of features that I want plus ones that have been requested multiple times on the forum. I intend to post the whole thing once it is clear that LWD is working on new features. I don't have the names of who started what requests on the list but IIRC some of the ones you posted are on the list. IIRC you asked for some things to do with improvements to plots and map pins? I've got big sections on both.

Well, it seems like there's active development right now, and yes, plots and maps are my top priorities (along with my pet peeve).

Let us not forget the big C. :eek::D;)
The list is a good idea. We can see what's checked off and LWD can see how much they have accomplished. |
@ruhar:
I fully agree - let's not forget about the big C :-) (Assuming it is the same C we are talking about...) |
I posted my list. feel free to add to it

Feature suggestions forum

I'll say it
the big C. = CALENDARS CALENDARS CALENDARS CALENDARS CALENDARS CALENDARS and for any that have missed it.... Customizable CALENDARS :eek::D:cool: |
Was one of the things already suggested ages ago. Not sure why a forum is thought to be easier to maintain than an open list. Maybe a bug tracker is too "official" or I under-estimate the effort necessary to launch a bug tracker (webserver setup, securing it update regularly and also ... you need to start working with it). Yeah not so simple in the end :)
