WoW updated Card Vault Files??

Just wanted to toss the question on when the data files might be ready for the new Hunt For Illidan release of World of Warcraft...

Not complaining - just curious... :D

Thanks a bunch!

Doesn't seem to be a lot of information regarding updates to the data sets for WoW TCG. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Yeah, I guess I would like to post another :?: :?: :?:

When are we going to see some updates to the data files for WoW TCG?
Its been 4 months and one full release since its been updated... I know that a person "owns" this data file, but this TCG game is getting pretty big - can't Lone Wolf Development pick this up and support this data file?

I really count on this product to keep track of WoW (and other games), but if I can't count on getting regular updates, then I'll look elsewhere...

Hmmm, no response from the owner of the card files...

I remember seeing someone post some information regarding a converter to take the information from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Database site (www.wowtcdb.com) and putting it into a format that CardVault can use. Hopefully that person is still around?

We will have the update up in a few days.  We have had a problem with our ip and have had to deal with that.

WOW 1.5 Now Available

The latest release of WOW data files is now available. The 1.5 release has all cards up through the Hunt for Illidan release. You should be able to get it from the CardVault Update, or from http://www.datafilesrus.com

Sorry for the delay.

Scott Stewart.

Hey Scott - Can you give those looking for updated WoW data files an idea of when you might post an update for DOW?? I know it takes a while...
Also, thanks much for your last update for HFI and your work! It is much appreciated!

Getting ridiculous

OK, now I'm peeved... It's nearing 6 months since we've gotten updates to the WoW data files. Either please update them or release the file so that someone else can develop and update the file.

Waiting for 6+ months for them to be updated is absolutely ridiculous...

Note to LoneWolf - Why isn't someone in LoneWolf updating this file? You can seem to spend enough time with WotC products....

This is one of the main reasons I haven't paid to update my license. If I got consistent updates for WoW, then I'd invest money in your product...
Relying on regular people to update your product is just stupid...

Lone Wolf does not update the WoW data files because Upper Deck seems wholly uninterested in sending us the spoiler data. We spent countless hours talking to them about getting the spoiler data from them, and they repeatedly promised us the info. However, they never delivered. After numerous rounds of layoffs and restructuring at UD, resulting in having to ask completely new people each time, we finally gave up. So the files are being maintained by an enterprising user who is volunteering his time in the effort.

The reason we spend the time with the Wizards games is that they send us the spoiler data for each new release. They view CV as a worthwhile too for their players and are willing to invest a few minutes every quarter to send us the data we need. Sometimes we have to remind them, but they are responsive and get the data to us. Once we have the data in a standardized format, we can convert it into CV data files reasonably easily.

If UD were to do the same as Wizards (i.e. send us a file they already possess in-house), we'd be able to do the WoW data files. The total time commitment on UD's part is in the neighborhood of 5 minutes every time they release a new set. Sadly, that appears to be more time than they can spare. :-(
