Why is my gold/wealth weird...any way to fix?

I finally got a copy of Hero Lab and I really do like it. The only problem I had after setting up my character (who is now a 3rd Level Cleric) and buying all the goods that he owns and adding all the PFS scenario gold earned is that the Wealth amount seems way off. I should have about 2800GP, but it states well over 4000! Plus, I can't find anywhere I can manually adjust it.

Perhaps I just missed something (I think I entered the equipment correctly because I can see what it believes I own in gear and the values).

You an adjust it manually in the journal tab.
Thanks.

I think you mean, on one of my PFS Scenarios to just do a big subtraction in the gold/Earn area? That might do the trick, but sort of makes the details of the journal entry for that Scenario look hokey.

Thanks.

It's just an option. If the numbers are wrong, though, maybe there was a mistake made when you purchased items? Could it be that the items weren't purchased at 100%?

Thanks.

You don't have to use one of the existing ones - create a new one called "cash correction", and don't check the XP box on that one, since it's not a scenario.

I think that will work...thanks.

Any idea why the cash might get so far off in the first place?

I think Sendric's already mentioned the most likely scenario - accidently not paying for things as you bought them.

Another thing that could throw it off is any purchases you've made with PA, rather than cash - your happy stick is a 750gp difference, for example.

Your wayfinder was only purchased for 250, but its value, as reported in the total wealth would be 500, so that's another 250 difference.

Gotta agree that this is most likely. Been using Hero Lab for a few years now, and I still forget to uncheck "Buy for Free" in the equipment tabs all the time.

Up to this point, I've made no PA purchases. I've tried looking through everything I've bought and see if something went as 0 and so far I haven't see anything stick out. I'll check again.

Something else is that if you changed the quantities of things you're buying (say, like, 5 days of trail rations) but did not click "Set" to update the prices, you would pay for 1 and still add 5 owned.

Yes, there probably is some of that going on. That's a great place to look, since I do buy multiples of that and of ranged ammo.

I'm not talking about PA purchases. In the various equipment purchasing windows, down at the bottom, where the price is listed and how many you're buying, there's a check box for "Buy this for free."

That's a global checkbox for ALL the equipment purchase windows, and it doesn't reset on its own.

I usually get caught by this when building a character of a class that gets free equipment (such as a gunslinger's initial firearm), but it happens other times as well.
