Why do I have to restart?

Since the update, I now need to restart Hero Lab completely before any changes I make in the editor are reflected. This was not the case before the update.

The item I am creating/editing test successfully in the editor, but has no effect whatsoever until HL is restarted...

Update: if i reload the data files (Ctrl+R) my changes are reflected. This is better than restarting HL I guess... :)

When writing your own data files with the Kit, you must always reload your data files for them to take effect. We included the quick reload (ctrl+r) for this exact purpose.

The integrated Editor works very differently from the standard way that data files are managed by HL. It bypasses lots of stuff that HL normally does and therefore has limits on what it can change. Specifically, it only allows changes to things. Nothing else can be manipulated via the Editor.
