Where is my new language hiding?

Lexin

Well-known member
I created a new language for one of my CofC .por files. When I run it on my desktop, it finds it just fine, but when I open HL on my laptop, it's doesn't load and I get an error message I don't understand to say it's looked for it but can't find it.

Where is the file and how do I add it to my laptop's version of HL?

It's not urgent, but I would like to know.

You need to copy the user file from your desktop to your laptop. You can find it if you click Tools->Explore System Folders->Game System Data Folder and then find the user file you created and copy it to a flash drive or e-mail it or something and put it in the same place on your Laptop.

When Hero Lab gives you an error message, you can right-click it and copy it. Could you please paste the message you're getting here? Without knowing exactly what's going wrong, I'm not sure how to help.

The correct file folder to place the .user files you've created in the editor can be accessed from the Tools menu. Choose "Explore Folders" and then "Game System Data Folder"

All sorted, thank you! Copied the files (there were other ones also missing) and no more error message.
