What are the pricing options for the cloud subscription?

Once the 6 months free trial is up what will the pricing options be for using your cloud servers?
Also will there ever be options to use alternative cloud options like Dropbox or Google drive?

Pricing is here:

There is no option to take it to other storage, because it's not just simple cloud storage. There is smart-syncing, which only sends the changed elements to the realm being synced, and there will be web access to the realm for players, and there are a few other things that are done at the cloud level.

It's not just storing the .db file, it's actually uploading the data into Lone Wolf's database server for appropriate processing.

Thanks for the link! That's a little pricey for the only storage option. I understand about the smart syncing and all but at this time the price is a little steep for me and not worth it. The problem is if I opt out of that and need to create my own new realm then I have to pay a minimum of $24.99 to create a new realm, which is ridiculous. I think the only option is to go ahead and create a few dozen generic realms and put them in standby just in case I have a need for them in the future.

Who knows maybe sometime in the next 5 months or so I will get a job that actually pays well enough to consider the subscription when it comes due.

As has been stated numerous times, you won't need cloud account to create realms. You do need network access to contact the Realm Works servers to create a realm (i.e., it can't be done without a live Internet connection), but you won't need the cloud subscription. So this would only be a concern for you if you envision not having any Internet access in the future when you want to create a realm.

Ok, my apologies, I misunderstood the message when choosing to log into the servers or not. I can see the benefit of having a subscription, especially if I have players that need access to my realms...
