Weapon order on character sheet?

Is there any way to order the way weapons are displayed on the character sheet? My character has 2 daggers in wrist sheaths that are unequipped, and a bastard sword that is equipped. Yet on the character sheet each dagger is displayed first, pushing the bastard sword onto the second page. Is there any way to change this?

There is no option to sort weapons that I'm aware of. Armor and weapons are sorted alphabetically, and don't care which is equipped on the printed character sheet. Programmer probably assumed you'll switch between weapons during the game, providing stats for both.

Suggestion - Add unique name to each item, like adding a "1" and "2" to the beginning.
 
The built in feature of Equipment Sets was added to help with sort order. In addition the Community Pack has an adjustment that lets you order which weapons appears first, second etc in the list. The adjustment is called "Weapon Order".

This is a big help - didn't realize that's how equipment sets worked! As for the Community Pack, I have it installed but do not see "Weapon Order" in the adjustments. Is there a particular option under Configure Hero I need enabled? I see Community Pack (v1.19) and ShadowChemosh's Equipment is checked but that's all.

To see all the new adjustments you have to enable "ShadowChemosh Adjustments" in the same place you did the equipment. Then go to the Adjust tab and in the other adjustments you will find "print order".

Then once you add the adjustment select your bastard sword from the dropdown and leave the counter at 1. Bastard sword will then have a higher sort priority than any other weapon and will always display first. :)
 
Just found this thread, and it fixes an annoyance (that I wasn't really aware was annoying me). A character with first weapon a mw rapier, +1 sword in second hand and a mw dagger in reserve, and they always showed up in the wrong order for me. I actually hadn't looked at it to see that it was in alphabetical order. Thank you Tim

Just noticed in exploring these, Tim, 'Feat: Power Attack' and 'Weapon Order' seem to be incompatible. Both work fine individually, but when weapon order is in place, Power Attack being ticked has no apparent effect. Doesn't seem to matter the order of selection of the adjustments.
 
I don't think an adjustment should be necessary to change the order Equipment sets are shown? I had thought you could drag them around to re-order them, and the top one was shown first.

I think your thinking of classes because I can't click and drag weapons around on my HL. Also I am not sure it would help with the printed sheet which does alphabetical order printing. :(

Added this to the TODO list. That Feat: Power Attack is really old adjustment so I may need to bring it up to the latest standards is all.. :)

No, I was talking about equipment sets. I just tested it and it is working as I recall. I added 4 weapons, then made an equipment set for each (and a 5th for unarmed strike), then checked the box for "Print Equipment Sets". I can click and drag the equipment sets into whatever order I prefer, and they show on the printed character sheet in the same order shown in the program.
 
And in that way you can even just show the weapons you think are important by not making an equipment set for anything you want to omit. In case you have a dagger you keep around to chop food, or whatever.

Equipment sets where already mentioned in post#3. :) But I still can't see to get equipment sets to "drag around". I just name them in alphabetical order (ie "A Set of Dagger" would print before "Bastard Sword").

Why I thought you where now talking about weapons not the sets which I said where added for exactly this reason. But people like adjustments they seem easier to work with or it seems people migrate to them before doing equipment sets. Shrug... :p
 
I'd love to be able to show Equipment Sets, with both Power Attack enabled and disabled.
As in, a per set toggle.

My players will ask what their AC, Attack and Damage are, with each combination of Combat Expertise & Power Attack enabled:
On & On
On & Off
Off & On
Off & Off
 
I know with power attack there is an adjustment in the community pack to add that info to the weapon name.

That's been something that I have wanted to do for a while myself, but alas, haven't been able to.
