First off hello everyone & I hope that Origins treated you all well (even though I heard it was bad again this year).

 I am posting this after sending in the question to customer service and was advised to try and see what info I could get from the forums (its taken me some time but here is my question)

:?: I have the data set from v2 for the system War Engine http://warengine.darktortoise.com/index.php?title=Main_Page
I have tried to use the conversion from v2 to v3 but it (I am sure its me) I am notting getting it to work. I really love the system, for all its mechanics are pretty simple and work nice for any game you are running, for a point build army set up. I am not really sure how to work the creator for v3 and would like to know (hope beyound hope) that someone who knows what they are doing may have already done this converision, so I can be lazy and get back to painting. LMAO or to know any one that could run the converision for me and then I will fix it up myself after I figure out what and how the build kit works. If anyone is able or willing to help me please let me know or if anyone would like to mess with the v2 data I will happy send it to them. okay that is all I have thanks for the read.

Developing data files for AB can be a very complex process. The primary reason for the complexity, though, is that there are so many different types of games and AB has to accommodate all of them. The vast majority of games only use a tiny portion of what AB can actually do. Since War Engine is a relatively simple game system, it should be comparatively easy to develop data files for the game.

The best approach is to start small and develop your data files in little steps. The Authoring Kit includes a set of data files that contain just the bare minimum to get a game system going. You can start with those files and then iteratively evolve them for War Engine. This approach will be MUCH easier than starting from scratch.

The documentation includes some detailed walk-thrus of most everything you'll need. So your best bet is to identify the mechanics you need for War Engine and then follow the corresponding walk-thrus. This ought to get you well on your way to having viable data files. If you then run into specific problems along the way in setting things up specifically for War Engine, post them here and we'll do our best to offer some guidance.

Thanks I shall try this but so far it is alot of nasty words and me wanting to hit the keyborad! But I shall try try again.
