A new update of the Pathfinder files for Hero Lab is now available from the automatic updates mechanism within Hero Lab.
This update adds Magical Marketplace to the existing Player Companion #13 package. This package is available for $4.99, and already contains Blood of the Moon and Mythic Origins.
The update also adds the NPCs from the Inner Sea NPC Codex. These are available from the Import Stock Hero option in the Portfolio menu. Look through the list of portfolios for "Inner Sea NPC Codex". These are available to all users, but some of these NPCs may not be fully available unless you own all the books that were used to build them. For example, The Arclord of Nex NPC uses the Arclord of Nex prestige class, which is from Paths of Prestige.
Hero Lab's editor has been re-arranged somewhat. Now, there are several main tabs in the editor, with the individual tabs you're used to grouped within each of the main tabs. Since this change also lets us avoid a limit that we had reached in Hero Lab that restricted the number of editor tabs that could be shown at a time, we've taken the opportunity to go through our list of editor tabs to add, and add them.
The Managers, Rooms & Teams, and Buildings and Organizations sections of Ultimate Campaign's Chapter 2: Downtime have now been added. These are available to anyone with the Ultimate Campaign package.
We've also added several new spell adjustments, and this update includes several new bug fixes.
Here's the complete change list for this update:

Special Thanks
- Thanks to Tim Shadow (ShadowChemosh) for providing us with many new adjustments.
- Content from Magical Marketplace is now available as part of Pathfinder Player's Companion #13.
- Added player content from Pathfinder #76 "The Midnight Isles".
- Added the NPCs from the Inner Sea NPC codex. To use these, choose "Import Stock Hero" from the Portfolio menu.
- The editor tabs have been rearranged. Now, there are several tab groupings; General, Campaign, Class, Equipment, Magic, and Race, and the individual editor tabs have been moved within one of those groupings.
- Characters can now add custom buildings and organizations, as well as adding various sorts of capital with which to purchase those.
- Several more spell adjustments have been added.
- Added a new optional rule; "Use PFS's ACG playtest changes". Pathfinder Society characters now have some changes applied when using some of the ACG playtest classes (these changes are based on suggestions from SKR in the playtest threads for those classes). This optional rule allows non-PFS characters to use them, as well. If you are creating a Pathfinder Society character, these changes have already been applied, and there's no need to also select this optional rule. The following changes are made:
- The Brawler counts as having INT 13 for the purpose of meeting combat feat prerequisites.
- Brawler Strike is Ex, instead of Su.
- Hunters gain Precise Shot as a bonus feat.
- The Hunter's Snake Focus adds an untyped attack bonus.
- When a Slayer selects Ranger Combat Style, the feats ignore prereqs.
- A Slayer may select the Powerful Sneak and Unwitting Ally Talents.
- The Assassinate Trick, if selected as a Slayer Talent, uses INT, not CHA, to determine its save DC.
- In Heroes of the Jade Oath, added the missing Kensai archetype.
- In Heroes of the Jade Oath, masterwork for the katana and wakasashi is now enforced.
- In Heroes of the Jade Oath, fixed a timing issue with the Enlightened Scholar's "Folk Magic" Custom Ability.
- In Heroes of the Jade Oath, added "Awaken Soul Chakra" ability to the Sadhu archetype.
- In Heroes of the Jade Oath, fixed Wisdom prerequisite for the feat "Sutra Caster".
- In Heroes of the Jade Oath, fixed timing error with "Aspect of the Sword" shenxue custom ability.
- In Heroes of the Jade Oath, fixed the prerequisites for "Striking Dragon" feat.
- The Spell Chain feat was missing a pre-req for Spell Penetration.
- The wild stalker archetype was causing the hero's rounds of rage to be calculated incorrectly if the hero also had barbarian levels.
- The Animal Focus tab was showing for all animal companions, not just those of a Hunter.
- The Boon Companion feat was not adding to animal companion levels correctly.
- The Beast Eye hex was not counting Winter Witch levels as satisfying its pre-requisites.
- The Yuelral's Blessing arcane discovery was applying its effects even when disabled.
- The Ape/Bat/Boar Totem druid archetype's Totem Transformation class abilities were bootstrapped twice at 2nd level.
- The Inquisitor's Judgement of Destruction was applying an untyped (instead of sacred or profane) bonus to damage, which meant it would stack incorrectly. The shieldmarshal PrC's ability of the same name was also applying an untyped bonus, rather than a competence bonus.
- The Inquisitor's Judgement of Resistance was not applying elemental resistance if Sonic was chosen.
- Groetus was missing the stars subdomain
- Classes with spellcasting that was delayed until a certain level (i.e. rangers) were displaying an empty spellcasting section in their stat block before reaching that level.
- Hellknight Signifiers were getting the wrong number of skill points per level.
- The Theologian archetype was removing the cleric's proficiency with the deity's favored weapon.
- The Champion of Irori was gaining Lay on Hands at second level.
- Improved Critical was raising an error when combined with Mythic Weapon Training (natural).
- Several tabs were renamed to make their names clearer and remove most of the abbreviations. For example, "R Cust Special" has been renamed "Racial Cust Special".
- Added several tabs for army-related things: Army Ability, Army Commander Boon, Army Resource, and Army Tactic.
- Added several tabs for kingdom-related things: Kingdom Diplomatic Agreement, Kingdom Edict, Kingdom Government, Kingdom Hex, Kingdom Hex Improvements/Buildings, Kingdom Roles, Kingdom Settlement Quality/Government, Kingdom Trade Route, and Kingdom: Other Countries.
- Addded a tab for Legendary Item Abilities.
- Added tabs for words of power: Effect Words, Meta Words, and Target Words.
