A new update of the Shadowrun files is now available from the automatic updates mechanism within Hero Lab.

This update adds the Way of the Samurai and Parageolgy E-Books as a free update for anyone with our PDF Package #3. This package already contains Euro War Antiques, Gun Heaven 2, Magical Societies, MilSpec Tech 2, The Nightfire Presents chapter of Runner's Black Book 2074, and Used Car Lot.

Here's the complete change list for this update, copied from the FAQ:
New Releases!

  • Content from Way of the Samurai has been added as a free update to the existing PDF Bundle #3.
  • Content from Parageology has been added as a free update to the existing PDF Bundle #3.
Enhancements & Changes

  • The damage and healing history on the in-play tab now lists the long-term wounds caused by Blood Fetishes along with the history of damage and healing
Bug Fixes

  • The sample characters would give errors when loaded without the Street Magic package being active.
  • The aptitude quality was not making skills cost double for each point above rating 6.
  • Under the Karma System, the cost of raising the individual skills in a broken skill group was incorrect.
  • Several weapon modifications such as gecko grip and chameleon coating that should be available to all weapons were incorrectly restricted to only appear on ranged weapons.
  • Metasapient AI characters were not able to purchase commlinks or nexi.
Data File Authoring

  • The Reflex Recorder augmentations (both the normal and skill group versions) can now have Reference1 tags assigned to them to specify the skill or skill group they target, which allows a reflex recorder that's included in a package of augmentations to specify the skill it alters.
