Hi Colen,

just thought I'd notify you of a few errors I found in the alpha files
relating to Orks (what else). Just when you thought it was safe to take
a well earned rest. You may have already corrected these prior to
downloading to AB-files.

The augmentation of the orTrukkin the kult of speed army requires the
take:orGrotRg-perm to have the -race=ks added otherwise it appears in a
normal ork army.

The wartrukk option doesn't allow the selection of the bog shoota or
rokkit launcha, I "fixed" it by deleting the rmdr local attribute in the
unit orTrukk adding in an external attribute
must:categ=HevyWeapon@min=1-msg=1Heavy and altering the option orBigShN
by setting rang:0-1 and deleting dsab so the option was no longer greyed
out to the user. Not perfect but it works :) Why the rmdr doesn't work
as set up seems strange but I didn't know enough to get it working.

I noticed that in characters you can select 2 1 handed weapons and then
a 2 handed weapon and no conflict is reported, but it works properly if
you select the 2 handed weapon first.

I added an external attribute must:categ=2HandWeap+1HandWeap@max=2 so
that a conflict is reported if select 2 1 handed weapons and then a 2
handed weapon.

In the items section I amended the ityp:+OrkVehicle to
itst:type=OrkVehicle and itst:type=OrkVehicle|type=OrkKan as appropriate
since AB now says ityp is redundant :)

I amended the spikes entry to itst:type=OrkVehicle&|reg=orTrukk just for
the fun of it :)

I haven't looked at much else but I'll let you know if I find any other
matters for your attention.

Cheers

Grotfang, not so humble ork warlord.

Already caught.

It's because it says "no heavy weapons, so add one" but then conflict
groups cause the other to be deselected. I forgot to remove the '1Hv'
conflict from the orBigShN option.

The way AB handles conflict groups was changed slightly, and has stopped
this working. In teknikal terms, because one conflict group implies
another now does not mean that the second conflict group also implies
the first - i.e., even if you have two one-handed weapons, it doesn't
imply that a two-handed weapon has also been selected. I'm fixing this
by making all two-handed weapons members of the 1HW *and* 2HW conflict
groups, as opposed to just the 2HW group.

It's redundant, yes, but there's no reason to change them all. You don't
go out and buy all your software again just because you upgrade to
Windows 2000, do you? :P

Thanks for the info, I failed to spot the obvious as usual :)

I wondered how you did that in a data file, I couldn't find the
explanation in the documentation hence fudged a solution using ABCreate.
I did mess around with the datadef file for the fun of it but couldn't
get it right, I added 2HW to the 1HW as a conflict with the effect that
selecting a 1HW promptly greyed out the 2HW's. I'll have to go read some
more :)

You don't? Damn I knew I was going wrong somewhere. It was fun trying
them out, after all you've done just about everything else and I find
it's the best way to learn :)

Hi Colen,

Sorry to bombard you with all of these, but if I don't I'll forget
them. In the Mordheim datafiles, the undead list now has experience
trackers for zombies and dire wolves. They shouldn't, and didn't in the
1.4 files.

Cheers,
Phil

Indeed. To be fixed in v17 :)
