I am using HL for Pathfinder, but I somehow doubt that this issue is with what game system I am using it for, but I included that detail just in case it is important.

I have been trying to build a file with the editor for additional classes and prestige classes. I seemed to have things working, at least as far as I had gotten. Then I had to shut the programs down. Everything was saved. However, I cannot seem to load up the user file for use with HL. When I open the portfolio, the character was there minus the new class levels I had created and tested. On the character configure options I can't seem to click the user content box. Am I suppose to be saving the file to a specific location or am I doing something else wrong?
 
HL will only look at files in a specific folder for each game system. In the editor, the default folder to save files in is the correct one to use. If you've saved them elsewhere, and HL now has a new default, in the Tools menu...Explore Folders, choose "Game System Data Folder", and that's the correct place to store them.
