.user file issues

I was given some good advice on how to duplicate games so that I could set up separate "default settings" for my various pathfinder adventure paths.

This was working great till I went in to edit a .user file I had and it told me the file could only be read, it was not in my current game system.

Confused I looked to see that the file path was pointed back to the "pathfinder" folder of which I made my copies.

As it turns out, it did copy my .user file to my duplicate game, but now it wants me to maintain two files, changes to one are not included in the other. I could always edit the "pathfinder" version then copy it over, but I'm hoping maybe you can set up HeroLab to use a single common .user directory for community add ons? Enable this feature in a game system and point to the folder?

If not, has this been considered?

The intent of being able to make separate copies of a game system is so you can keep different sets of .user files in each copy, so that you can use one for an Eberron game and another for a Golarion game.

And that makes sense, I do have some unique ones, but I also have a single file I keep with common changes that are not adventure path dependent. I only play pathfinder, so all my copies are pathfinder and then a specific adventure path.

I'll just edit the core system and then copy paste to the rest.
