Hi.

I'm building a data file to help playtest some of the
up and coming WAB supplements, and this has been my first
indepth forray into ABCreator. I have been looking through
the WFB & WAB data files, seeing how they accomplished most
of the general stuff just fine. But the new lists have a number
of issues and rules that the previous army lists don't.

And, naturally, I am starting to have lots of questions.

This is the first:

I need to set up a unit dependancy, where each veteran unit
requires two regulars OR levies, or one of each or whatever.

I understand how I can get the reqd attribute to work in this
instance for a single dependancy. But how do I get multiple
units into that dependancy?

Thanks,

Tony

The racial attribute trat sets up a ratio between two types. Give type
'veteran' to the one unit, and type 'basic' to the other troops, then
set trat up so that it controls the dependency.

Mathias' suggestion is the most flexible method for controlling this.
However, depending on how the lists are structured, you can also use
composition groups and composition rules to enforce these ratios. For
example, if you have Veterans as one composition gruop and Regulars as
another, you could specify the composition rule to enforce the ratio. For a
simple example of this, take a look at the Chronopia files, where you have
ratios between the number of units in the different composition groups.
It's always nice to have a few options... :-)

Hope this helps,
Rob

Thanks Rob - I saw that possibility but I am not the
author of these lists, so I'm not really allowed to
change the composition groups.

Bummer. :)
