Unchained Question

With the advent of unchained I have a question for Hero Lab management.
Can you contact Pazio and ask if your customers can duplicate Classes and archtypes to make changes using the unchained rules without us having to build cl;asses and archtypes from scratch. Note many of us would gladly pay a fee to do this.l

For instance I would like to make an unchained version of the bloodrager
that simply swaps out the new rage system for the old rage system.

Unless something is "crazy" different you could easily do this with an Archetype. The new unchanged rage is going to have a new unique id "cUncRage" (total guess). So your archetype would disable the old 'cBbnRage' and add the new 'cUncRage' class special.

Besides its not Paizo that is locking out the classes from new/copy. Its Lone Wolf doing that. Paizo is under the OGL meaning you can copy the text of a class all you want. Hence why the class exists on about a dozen different Pathfinder Wiki websites all for free.

LW is stopping you because if it was that easy to copy the Bloodrager class Things then I can copy the class and all the mechanics and give my players a free version of the ACG with very little work. :( :(

Tim, Thats not what Arron told me. Arron told me that pazio wants all material that is non core to be non copyable because of piracy issues. Thats why I have been trying to get LWG to make a user License that we could buy to allow coping of material for use within the program.

I don't recall laying that at paizo's feet, but if I gave that impression, sorry. As far as I am aware, the "can't save a copy thing" is for our protection. Although, you shouldn't have any trouble doing the archetype thing ShadowChemosh suggests. You can bootstrap existing class specials to an archetype, no need to copy/replace them.
