I have an elven fighter archer who wants to take a hunting cat as per Ultimate Equipment P82. I add the hunting cat in Hero Lab but there are no stats or skills and the Minion tab states "Race: No Race" Is there somewhere i am missing to pick between Leopard and Cheetah? (The two options specified) or do i need to edit the rule set? or wait for a patch?

I'm showing the Cat, Hunting item added on the other tab as having the Leopard race. Since I can't easily reproduce this, could you send me the portfolio where this is happening so I can check a bit deeper?
 
Since UE didn't repeat the stats of a Leopard, just referenced B1's stats for it, we did the same - you need to purchase the Bestiary package to see the stats for a minion from B1.

AHA! i have to get Bestiary 1. That would make sense! perhaps there could be a message if you have a book to make a purchase for something from another book ? as i have Ultimate Equipment but Not Bestiary 1 this was a little confusing.

~Yup that fixed it - Although i had to go into character config and check use Bestiary1 but i now have the bestiary package so shouldn't be a problem in the future.

Trying to add a Leopard

Hi,

I've a monk of many styles who would like to own a leopard (cat, hunting). I have not figure out how to do this in Hero Lab as I cannot find the item to begin with (or is it just not available to me)?

I have the following cores and add-ons for hero lab

Pathfinder Beginner Box
Pathfinder RPG: RPG Core, Advanced Payer Guide and Advanced Race Guide, Ultimate Combat, Ultimate Equipment and Ultimate Magic. I also have RPG playtest material and Spirit of the Century Core Data.

The hunting cat, leopard, should at least be selectable shouldn't it? Am I correct in thinking it should be under "gear"? Pets and Familiars, Guard and Hunting animals, farm and work animals - all of these options are greyed out.

I understand that monks don't usually have animals without some sort of Druidic abilities (of which I have none), but as I recently leveled I was planning to add handle animal as a skill.

on mine its on the other tab. mounts and hirelings. i think they put everything that gets a dashboard here for organization reasons

As mentioned above you have to purchase the Bestiary package to see the animals/monsters from Bestiary 1 book.
