I think the problem is that when you do remove the * from the
attacks people will attempt to use that number of attacks for the number
of
shots they receive for the X weapons.

I would just like to know the actual attacks that are allowed normally, and think of the adjustments when the special situation arises...

With regards to a Hive Tyrant and its ST and TO values: Why?

If it is a brood, where only one creature has a raised ability value, you
would need to know the unadjusted score - either written as 4* or as 4/5.

Number of attacks for a Tyranid creature should always be written as X/Y
