I've meet one DM from these boards IRL and will be meeting with another soon. I find it valuable to get together with other DMs and show and discuss how we are using RW. If there is anyone else on these boards in the Twin Cities that would be interested, PM me. Meeting place would be The Source Comics and Games in Roseville.

You could just post a time and date; it's in a public place. :)

Anyway, I'm planning to be there.

Try looking up how many "Clear Lake" lakes there are in your state. (Wikipedia lists 13 for Minnesota.)

No kidding, Aaron. I was getting excited to see folks nearby and then realized they weren't in Northern California.

Yeppers. Landpark, south of downtown. You around here too? I figured the LWD folks were all Bay Area but if you work from home, being close to the "office" isn't as critical.

Just purchased Realm Works a couple days ago and watched the tutorials. Starting to dive in to the program! I live in Burnsville and frequent the Source every month or so. Schedule permitting, I would love to brainstorm with fellow Realm Workers (Realmers?)

Helped me out

RW is so adept at allowing the end user to apply the software to their own design that it gave me a deer-in-the-headlights response after purchase.

I am a mechanical engineer who hates software stuff, including databases. Engines for me. Anyway, it was tough to move forward because of this internal optimization need I have, and my lack of database design didn't help.

I met with Blockhead and saw his approach to data input and organization and it was useful in getting me past the initial person/place input. I will continue to collaborate and refine my realm.

Definitely recommend.

Parady wow I did not know you live in MN. MNBlockhead who is it you had met from here? I frequent the Source quite a bit. Mostly on Wed Nights and use Realm Works there all the time!! :)

What day and time?

Our Locations (when specified) are in the left column. :)

Send a message to MNBlockHead; he's been organizing things.

The next two weeks are kinda tough, but I will post a NeedToMeet link here to see what times work best for everyone. Meeting at the The Source makes sense because most gamers in the Twin Cities know it and they have large tables we can use for free to meet.

Hmm, should we have a place somewhere in the fora to arrange "meet'n'greets"?

I imagine quite a lot of people could use that (and no, I am not going across the pond to a meet'n'greet in Clear Lake - any of them... :p )

I think that's a great idea Vargr!
I am envious of Parody, MHD and Nikmal ... camaraderie will certainly kindle creativity.

I suppose that leaves out my "Clearlake" as well? hehe

Hey Colen / Liz how about it? a RW Meet n Greet Sticky? Would seem a good kick off point for inclusion since GenCon is just around the corner???

DLG

PS> did someone you love mention custom calendars today? I thought so....:D

PSPS> Sorry for thread-jacking, we return you to the Twin Cities:o

No more stickies, please!

When you have to scroll down just to get to the new posts, that's too much!

Or, to paraphrase a famous quote: When everything's a sticky, nothing is.
