Trying to choose race for a Familiar, but NPC race list

Okay, I'm trying to build a witch and added the familiar. When I go to choose the familiar's race, instead of the list of familiars, I get the full race list like I was creating a normal PC/NPC. And, in fact, the familiar I'm looking for isn't even listed there.

What is going on? Is this a known issue? If so, what is the fix?

Before anyone asks, yes, I have the latest updates installed.

Hmmmm, this seems to work for me, even when I unselect the Advanced Player's Guide Familiars and Bestiary Familiars in my testing. So, I'm going to ask the redundant question: you have the Advanced Player's Guide checked in Configure Hero? I'm sure this is 'yes' otherwise you wouldn't be able to select the Witch class.

When I click on "Click the Companion button to add an Arcane Familiar" under the Witch tab, it opens the Dashboard where I can switch to the new Arcane Familiar portfolio. Then I select Minion tab, click on Choose Race and see the complete list of all the available companions (creatures and critters, but no humanoid races).

Maybe post your character's .por file in a reply for use to look at?

In the Configure Hero Settings (which you can re-open from the Character menu), scroll most of the way down to "House Rules" - I'm guessing you checked "Don't Restrict Companion Race", so it is not putting restrictions on the races for a familiar to what's normally allowed for familiars, and is showing you every possible race.
