Trouble Downloading and Activating Files with Army Builder

Hello Everyone,

I am brand new to these forums. I just bought Army Builder (the CD from a store) and I am having trouble downloading and activating files. The program seems to start just fine. From the "Select a Game" pop up screen, I click on "Locate File." I then click on "! Army Builder (V3.2d)." Then I click "Download." I wait while the file downloads. Then when the pop up says, "The selected update has been successfully downloaded. Would you like to install the new version of the product now?" I click, "Yes." A new pop up says that Army Builder will now exit and then restart with the new version of the product. I click "OK." Army Builder exits, but does not restart on its on. I have waited over thirty minutes for it to restart. When I open the program again, it is still running the old version of the program.

I am running Windows 7 on a 2.8 GHz system with 8 GB of RAM. The only other thing that I can think of is that I used to have Army Builder many years ago. I may have registered the product under the same email address that I am now registering this new product. Perhaps that is causing some problem.

Thanks for the help,

Jay

Hi jay,

It sounds like you're trying to update from an older version of Army Builder. Due to security changes in Windows 7, older versions of Army Builder do not always launch properly when an update is downloaded - to fix this, go to http://www.wolflair.com/ in your web browser. From there, you can simply download and install the latest version of AB manually.

Once you've installed AB3.2d, the problem shouldn't occur again. Hope this helps!
