I'm not sure if this is a Shadowrun issue or a general Hero Lab issue.

Now that the new books are available in Shadowrun, it's easy to get lost. When I'm choosing Gear, or Skills, or Weapons, it'd be very handy if things were organized in a collapsible Tree View. So I could expand "Shotguns" alone, or "Security" gear, etc. It'd make choosing Skills easier too.

Is this a future feature that could be added to either Shadowrun or the core Application?
 
For now you can try typing in the category you're looking for in the search box. It tends to filter it down pretty good. (Though it does seem to leave categories there that no gear shows up for).
 
This is something we've discussed within the company, and it's something we're considering for future updates. In the meantime, I would recommend using the filter, as cryptoknight said.
