Treasure

What is the best way to deal with generic treasure that can be found at an encounter site. For instance the group finds 2 weapons, a potion, and some coinage. I'd like for these to be discrete items as my players tend to track them this way and then I could include them as part of the encounter/room/area. I see there are named objects, but was looking for something like "short sword +2".

For simple items like a potion or coins, they don't really make sense as their own topics. Those types of booty would be listed in the Rewards section of an encounter. You might lump them all into a single snippet, or you could split them out into separate snippets, depending on how the treasure might be found by the PCs.

The exception to this would be magical item that has various properties the PCs will uncover over time. For example, if it's a magical sword with special powers that need to be discovered, it would make sense to treat this as a separate topic, That way, you could individually reveal the different properties as the PCs learned them.

Hope this helps!
