trait bug -- possibly?

hiya.

i have a couple of errors (red flags in h.l.): (pfs rules)

trait: adopted. "at least one racial trait required." i chose "alternate trait" adoptive parentage (weapon focus) elf and red flag still shows. also, while adopted trait is on, the traits allowed becomes 3.

but when i remove the adopted trait, traits allowed went back to 2.

what is amiss?

1) The adopted trait allows you to pick a racial trait from the same place you picked the adopted trait - not in the alternate racial traits.

2) The adopted trait adds another point to the traits so you can pick a racial trait from a different race, If it didn't it would eat up one of the 2 traits your allowed. That way it won't throw an error for you picking to many traits.

Hope that helps you.

ah. got it.

another question -- rules related this time: the adoptive parentage (weapon focus) elf.

this trait gives you weapon focus. it does not give weapon proficiency, correct? so if your class/race does not have proficiency to, say longbow, then -- although you have weapon focus (longbow) from the trait -- you can use longbow with penalty because you're not proficient, right?

i came to this conclusion because i selected everything, but when i choose longbow, it tells me i'm not proficient with it.
