track potions?

As far as I know, nope it doesn't. Nor does it track ammunitions / grenades / charges. That would be an AMAZING feature if it would ever happen.

That would enable a somewhat functional game economy where players have to shop around, makes them discover new items, shops, worlds, corporations
 
Which game is this for? On the play tab, find that item, and click the icon that's three vertical dots, to bring up the item's quick controls - that's the normal location for the Amount Left control.
