Tie Class Specials to deity for cleric

For our house rules, clerics from some deities get modified Class Specials (specific for a deity). This might sound like an archetype, but then this archetype would have to be automatically set based on the selection of the deity and an advancement in the cleric level.
What would be the best way to implement this?
 
As an archetype that has a prereq requiring you to worship that deity. Just add the archetype manually after you choose the deity.
