The most stupid question

Hi guys,

And yet I have came back with another stupid question. But this time, this ain't a stupid question... It's the most stupid question one could ask...

I'm still wondering if I'm going to invest into HL, knowing I have to create everything from scratch inside it. Even though, I wanted to try the demo, and started it on the Authoring kit.

I then opened the manual, in which it states to
1 - enable data debugging
2- create a new file system
3- In that file system, I can start modify files such as definition.def

Very good, excellent ! But... Where are those files ? I know I have two hard drives, one SSD and a classical HDD. HL is installed inside the HDD. But that inside the HL folder, there are only two directories : docs, and products.

I checked on my C files (SSD), but there is no HL folder created.
I checked on my C files under my documents, and even if I find a HL directory, there are three folders in it : export, images and portfolios.

My documents under the D drive (HDD), contains no files.

So now, I'm remaining with two possibilities, and I can't decide which one is the correct one
- either the files are saved somewhere else, and didn't managed to find them
- either the demo doesn't create an empty system file, for easy to understand reasons, even if I would have liked to see them and find out by myself if I could go further with the kit.

Weirdly enough, on my Mac, I managed to find all the files in less than 5 minutes, and still haven't found them on Windows. Any idea where those files are ?

Many thanks again

Nope

Nope :) I didn't. But I will as soon as I get back home. Thank you very much for pointing this toward me :)

Thank you

Thank you, I managed finding them. I was searching in the develop menu, not the Tools one. Thanks for the help !
