Teaching a Barbarian to read...

OK, I've spent quite a bit of time trying to figure it out, but I just have not been able to figure out how to buy off and remove the Illiteracy feat from the Barbarian class. Am I being dense? I went out and added a knowledge skill "Literacy" to the char, and spent 2 points in it just to get the validation to get off of my back. But I couldn't figure out any way to delete the illiteracy feat itself.

Anyone have any clues?

If you're a barbarian, a "Literacy (Barbarian)" skill should appear in
the list. Add two skill points to it to make yourself literate.

Thanks for the quick response, Colen, but I'm still stuck. Barbarian character, no Literacy (Barbarian) skill that I can find in the skill lists. Checked both the regular skill lists and the add skill skill list. I'm running the 1.11 version of the Data file, fyi.

1.11 is almost 10 releases behind - please try updating to the latest
version of Hero Lab (which should be data file version 1.20, I think)
and see if it's still a problem.

If it is still a problem with the latest version, does it affect all new
barbarian characters that you create, or just the saved barbarian?

Hey Colen. Still having a problem. The barbarian literacy skil now shows up, be even after putting 2 points into the skill, the illiteracy special item still shows up in the profile. Is it supposed to be removed from the profile and sheet?

It is, but it's currently not working properly. It'll be fixed in the
next release of Hero Lab.
