System Fonts

I am trying to use a system font that has customized symbols from the Fantasy Flight Star Wars system. I am able to use the font in Word, but it doesn't appear as an option in RealmWorks. I believe the name is "EotE Font." Anyone have any idea why it isn't appearing? Does RealmWorks use its own customized set of fonts?

I suspect it only uses a subset of fonts.

(Sharing of your realm would be a nightmare if it requires a non-standard font.)

It appears that Realm Works* does not support PostScript fonts, whether Type 1 (PFB/PFM) or OpenType (OTF) with Type 1 outlines. I have a bunch of PostScript fonts (mostly Type 1s) that don't show up in Realm Works.

EotE_Symbol-Regular_v1.otf has Type 1 outlines, if that's the font you're using.

You could try finding a font converter and see if it'll convert your font to TrueType outlines. (I haven't tried them lately.) Otherwise, see if someone has a TrueType outline font with the symbols you need.

Hope this helps.

Edit: the converter at FreeFontConverter.com seems to work on this particular font. Convert it to TrueType and it should work in Realm Works.

* Technically, the underlying graphics engine used by WinForms and the library Realm Works uses for rich text.
