strm and multi-stat question

welps, i just can't get the damn thing to work. i put the sperator in
thr datadef file as / and i add strm to the unit. when i type 4|8|16
in the stat box and hit save it just says its invaild. any help?

The stat box within ABCreator accepts a NUMBER only. If you use multi-stat
capabilities, you have to specify the stat via the "attr" attribute on the
unit.

thats what i've been doing. since attr is text you can enter anything
you want ("3/6/12") and dont need to set the sperator ("/") in the
datadef file because its not for attr. so in other words strm is
broken and useless...?

As I understand it, no, because if you add 1 to the stat each of the
3/6/12 values will go up by 1.

The purpose of "strm" is for use when you want to ADJUST each value in a
multi-stat situation. If you use "strm" and then adjust the stat, each of
the values is adjusted. Otherwise, the stat is considered text and no
adjustment is performed. You still have to define the stat value as a text
value. The attribute simply tells AB how to interpret it differently
internally.
