Strip Missing Sources

A short time ago I ran into an error that I didn't quite no what to do with. At first I looked through my user files that I had created but it didn't seem to be linked with my content.

After spending a nearly a week twiddling with my files and portfolios to try and narrow down where the problem is coming from. I think its happening with Druid and Ranger companions.

The only problem is, I haven't a clue what to think. I haven't messed with any of those files. I wouldn't even dream of touching the files from the source folder.

Now if it were my files, I'd know what to do because I've seen a similar error before. It has to do with the SplRs value not being assigned (I think).

The only thing I can thing of is I had to Strip Missing Sources from my file to fix a problem with how MY own custom material was showing up on the configure hero sources. But that shouldn't have affected anything but my files, right?

Did this first happen before or after the most recent update? Can you tell me what you were doing when this error appeared?
 
Not a great deal I can say, honestly, I found the error in the middle of a large portfolio and it took me a while to pin it down as to what was causing it.

It happened after the update, though I think for a while it was working fine. As I said I think it started after I stripped missing sources to remove to dead references in the Source list. I'm not exactly sure how to proceed on finding out more or I would have tried it.
 
That is useful information I suppose, but I'm not sure how any of those apply to me. I mean my error is on line '311' and some of those are '366' which I suppose it might mean that was related.

What file are those errors occurring in, maybe I could look in the file and get a better idea, I probably wont understand much of the code but at least I might be able to narrow it down.
 
I asked about before/after because I did some fiddling with animal companions in this release. I suspect it may be caused by that. I'll look into it.
 
Yea, I made some errors with Arcane Heirophant. Lazy scripting on my part. Still not sure why its causing this particular error, but I'll clean it up and maybe that'll fix it.
 
Ok, I cleaned up Arcane Heirophant, which cleared some other errors, but not this one. It has to do with the fact that I am bootstrapping Spell Resistance to companions when you take this class. Why the error shows up when the class isn't taken, though, is beyond me. Some kind of glitch in HL, perhaps. I'll continue to work on it.
 
I fixed the issue....sort of. I created a new special that's exactly the same as the old Spell Resistance, and bootstrapped that instead. I am no longer seeing the issue. A temporary fix is to remove the xSplRs bootstrap from the special "Companion Familiar" in the Races of the Wild file. However, if you want to actually use Arcane Heirophant, you can email or PM me. There are two files that I updated to resolve all the issues there. I will send the updates to anyone who wants/needs them. Of course, they will also be included in the next release.
