Strange error

This error popped up, and it prevents HL from going beyond the system selection screen.

I tried running the last HL Program update (7.6b for Windows), and that did not fix the issue.

I'm trying to avoid a full uninstall and reinstall, but it's looking like I might have to do that.

New question.

Why is this particular bitmap file 116K?

I think there is something definitely wrong here.

Further update, since the offending file is in the Pathfinder Data, that is the only system that is affected.
 
I was overthinking the fix.
Reinstalled the Pathfinder update.

Problem solved.

Still concerned about why that BMP was 116K though.

BMP image files are not compressed, so if it was an actual image that'd be a normal size. But in this case sounds more like file corruption.
