Spheres/Pathfinder Recruitment (Remove if not allowed)

This is a high-power Pathfinder 1ecampaign where players take on the role of demigods—beings who were once divine but have now returned to the mortal plane. The game uses quad (4x) gestalt rules balanced at level 20 power. It is a free game with no paid DMing. Character creation and validation is done using Hero Lab Classic, and only three Spheres books are allowed: Ultimate Spheres of Power, Spheres of Might, and Champions of the Spheres. Mythic rules are not used, but the power level is comparable to Mythic 10.

All classes must be either Paizo first-party or one of the base classes introduced in the three allowed Spheres books—so classes like Incanter, Conscript, or Prodigy are perfectly valid. Paizo classes must take a sphere archetype, and casters must use a sphere archetype that converts them to Spheres casting—traditional Vancian magic is not used. Multiple archetypes are allowed as long as they don’t conflict. This ensures all characters operate under the Spheres system for both martial and magical mechanics.

Optimization is fine but not required. A fun, flavorful build is more important than raw power. Some players like optimizing; others do not. The group is friendly and willing to help with character building. Mechanics references are welcome if something eludes the GM, but this is not a place for rules lawyering. The goal is to have fun, not argue about rules.

We play using Foundry VTT for visuals and battle map, and Zoom for voice chat. You'll need a mic and a device that can view both Zoom and a Twitch stream. The battlemap is shown to players via Twitch. The stream is not private, but it is also not advertised. Twitch saves streams for 30 days, which allows players to catch up if they miss a session.

The game is scheduled for every other Sunday, usually starting at Noon Pacific and lasting 4–5 hours. Itis rare that we skip a session, but life happens sometimes. There is no fixed start date yet—about half the group has completed characters, the other half are still building. We use a Messenger group to communicate between sessions. The current group is all male, in our 40s, and native English speakers. We value punctuality, regular attendance, and staying engaged during sessions. Please pay enough attention that the GM doesn’t have to repeat things often.

The world, lore, factions, and storylines are all custom. The tone is grim and dark, but not excessively graphic or edgy. If something disturbing comes up, we fade to black. The campaign has a sandbox structure—players influence where the game goes, and their choices determine what the GM preps next. There is a story arc and a lot of lore to discover, but it's up to you how deep you go.

There is no alignment system. Player characters are shades of gray—heroic, anti-heroic, or complicated, but no one is actively evil. Demons and undead are common enemy types, so if those themes bother you, this is not the right game. Temporary PC death is possible, but narrative survival is guaranteed. Death comes with drawbacks, but you will not be permanently removed from the story.

We are ideally looking for one more player, though we could accommodate a duo if the fit is right. The first few sessions will serve as a trial period to see if we’re a good match. The group has a mix of styles—some enjoy roleplaying, others focus more on tactical combat. Both approaches are welcome, as long as you're respectful, attentive, and collaborative.

The GM uses AI tools for prep: MidJourney for character and monster art, and ChatGPT to assist with encounter design and content generation. A custom GPT has access to the campaign’s internal documents, which helps accelerate prep work. AI is not used for roleplay and does not replace any players.
