I'm currently unable to lock a character due to unallocated special attribute points. I'm also unable to allocate anymore special attribute points:

Is there something I can do to get around such a hurdle?
 
On the Personal tab, in the Permanent Adjustments table, you can add the "Special Attribute Points" option and set it to -2 to remove the points you're not spending.
 
Thanks; I also just discovered that moving around the A-E priorities appropriately will satisfy the locking condition.
 
I was figuring maybe you had Adept or Aspected Magician as your priority B choice - those two options can't be used at priority A, which is why I figured you were stuck at Human priority A in order to get maximum edge.
